Francis W. Tortolano, 95, of Braintree, Mass., died Aug. 17 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Tortolano, who retired in 1986, was a former journalist for The Providence (R.I.) Journal. He also has been employed at Cahners Publishing Co. in Newton, Mass., and Boston.
He leaves two children, Judith and Frances; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
