New England Newspaper Hall of Fame

NENPA maintains a special place for newspaper professionals whose talent, hard work and exceptional accomplishments provide inspiration to all New England Journalists. More than 100 individuals have been singled out over the past 50 years as industry heroes that everyone who works at a newspaper can look up to while admiring their remarkable careers.

New England Newspaper Hall of Fame nominations are due in the fall. The induction ceremony takes place at the NENPA Winter Convention in February.

Nomination instructions for Hall of Fame

The New England Newspaper Hall of Fame honors newspaper people from any area of the business, including editorial, circulation, production, advertising and new media, who have made outstanding contributions to the newspaper industry or the community or both.

Newspaper people who work in New England, who have moved on after working in New England, or who have retired or died are all eligible to be nominated for entry into the Hall of Fame. Anyone may nominate a person to the Hall of Fame.

To nominate someone, please send a letter or e-mail detailing the person’s accomplishments and the reason for the nomination, along with any supporting material, to NENPA. Letters can be addressed to the attention of the New England Newspaper Hall of Fame and mailed to the New England Newspaper and Press Association, 370 Common St., Dedham, MA 02026. Nominations also can be submitted via e-mail to NENPA’s executive director, Dan Cotter, at d.cotter@nenpa.com.
