Larry Parnass will be leaving as editor of the Daily Hampshire Gazette of Northampton and Amherst Bulletin in October for a new position at The Berkshire Eagle of Pittsfield. Parnass has been an editor since 1988. He was first hired by the Daily Hampshire Gazette as a regional editor. Parnass was named editor in 2009. Parnass also has been arts editor and managing editor at the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Parnass will report and write investigative stories in a newly created job at the Eagle. After years as a news manager, Parnass said he wanted to return to reporting.
The Transitions were written, at least in part, from published reports by Bulletin staff members Ashleane Alabre, Nico Hall and Hope Oje, undergraduate students at Northeastern University.
