Regular Newspaper Membership                                                                                                             A daily or weekly community newspaper in New England may apply for regular membership entitling it to full benefits in the association. To be eligible for regular membership, newspapers must normally publish at least 50 times per year, have at least 25 percent of its content be news-editorial, and at least 75 percent of the news-editorial content must be produced by local newspaper staff or purchased from recognized news sources.

Affiliate Newspaper Membership
Newspapers that don't meet all of the requirements for regular membership may apply for affiliate membership and will be entitled to all benefits. Newspapers that would qualify for affiliate membership include those that publish less than 50 times per year. Newspapers that have been published for less than a year, but meet regular newspaper member requirements, may join as affiliate members during their first year of publication and will become regular members after one year of publication.

Affiliate Company Membership*                                                                                                                 Any company who works with or has an interest in newspapers may join as an affiliate company member.

Associate Membership*
Individuals who free-lance, work for a newspaper or have an interest in the journalism field may join as an associate member.

Scholastic/Non-profit Membership*
Colleges and non-profit groups that would like to join may get a special scholastic membership.
