Special Notes for Individuals Entering the Contest

Please note that the deadline to enter the 2009 BNC has passed.  Rules remain posted for reference only.

 

NENPA Membership

  • Your newspaper must be a NENPA member in good standing.
  • You may enter the contest only if your newspaper is also submitting entries.

 

Payment of Contest Fees

  • The $25 entry fee must be paid by your newspaper.
  • As an individual, you are only responsible for paying $15 for each entry you are submitting.
  • Please write your newspaper's name in the memo field on your check.
  • Checks should be made payable to New England Newspaper and Press Association

Submitting Entries

 

  • Be sure to download all rules, forms and labels for the division you are entering.
  • Fill out your own entry form for the division(s) you are entering.
  • Staple your check to your entry form.
  • Make sure your entries are properly prepared (see rules and guidelines for your division).
  • Place your entry form, check and entries in a folder or envelope. Write your name and your newspaper’s name on the outside of the envelope.
  • Give your entry packet to the person responsible for your newspaper’s entry.
  • Individual entry packets should be included with the newspaper’s entry package.
  • Early Bird Deadline: If you want to save 5% on your total entry fees, you will need to coordinate with your newspaper to be sure the entire newspaper’s contest package is postmarked by August 7.

Awards

  • Awards will be granted to the newspaper that submitted the entry on your behalf.
  • If you would like to request a copy of your award, you may do so by contacting the NENPA office after the awards banquet in February 2010.
